SCHWARZES LICHT
Multi-channel live performance
Roberto Paci Dalò

The piece is based on audio materials from German and Russian radios: news and documents from the last days of the national-socialist era. Voices, noises, dramatical silences, announcements from the Wehrmacht headquartier, the announcement of Hitler's death and the Capitulation. The piece has been premiered on April 1, 2006 at the Deutsches-Russiches Museum Berlin-Karlshorst exactly where the Capitulation has been signed on May 8th, 1945.
Schwarzes Licht used the open spaces of the museum in order to create a particular acoustical environment based on these audio documents rarely heard by the public.
The work has been produced by the Internationale Heiner Müller Gesellschaft within the cycle of events "Heiner Muller. Leben Gundlings Friedrich von Preussen Lessings Schlaf Traum Schrei" occured in Berlin during the first part of 2006.

LECONS DE TENEBRES
In the lecture are presented a series of case studies related to projects created in the last years by Roberto Paci Dalo' and its group Giardini Pensili. These projects are focused on:
- the praxis of immersive acoustical environment as an access to archive materials and urban explorations
- the combination of radio and internet as a powerful tool for the creation of customizable home acoustical environment
- the use of spatialization within music-theatre productions also based on the repertoire and classical forms
- the relationship between word and space: the invisible architecture.
